New VE TESTING SCHEDULE coming in a day or two!

The location for the VE testing sessions is the same place where the monthly club meetings are held…. The Church of the Holy Nativity, in Clarendon Hills. All participants must observe State rules in effect on the date of the test
regarding the wearing of masks and social distancing .

As of April 19, 2022 the FCC is assessing a $35.00 fee for applications for the following:
New Licenses
License Renewal
and modification applications that request a new vanity call sign.
The fee will be per application.
There is NO fee for administrative updates, such as change of name, mailing or
email address, and modification applications to upgrade an amateur radio
licensee's operator class.


**Please Note The Following Important New** ***Information:***
FCC now Requiring:
An FCC Registration Number (FRN) for all applications.
They are no longer accepting Social Security Numbers.




Prospective hams can register with the FCC and receive an FRN here: https://apps.fcc.gov/cores/userLogin.do

As of June 29, 2021 the FCC is mandating email addresses on all applications. Per the  amended Section 97.23, “The email address must be an address where the grantee can receive electronic correspondence. Revocation of the station license or suspension of the operator license may result when correspondence from the FCC is returned as undeliverable because the grantee failed to provide the correct email address.
We will not be able to accomodate "walk-ins"

The Church is located at the corner of 55th Street and Richmond Avenue in Clarendon Hills. The church is located about 1 mile East of Cass Avenue
or 1 1/2 miles West of Route 83

And don't forget...if you missed it above!

Ogden Ave. on Main St. in Downers Grove.

due to Covid.
