On Saturday May 19^th , DARC will be conducting a special event commemorating “Armed Forces Day”.

The event location will be “Veteran’s Memorial Park” in Westmont at Dallas & Linden Streets.

Set-up is at 8:00 AM CDT
Operation until about 2:00 PM CDT

Operations on HF & VHF in various modes will take place, including live on air demonstrations of old military radios by John / N9HRT. 

This is a great location with plenty of trees for antennas, a sheltered pavilion, AC power and washroom facilities.

If you would like to participate either as an operator or bring your own equipment to operate, please contact Bruce (KA9H, the Club Vice President) to sign up so we can avoid duplication of operating frequencies.

We need help with the food and refreshments.  Please consider donating food, soft drinks, paper and plastic goods, or money.
